Default FGs getting upgrades already??

I heard a rumour that Ford is already upgrading the FG range..

So far apparently the XT now comes with 16 inch alloys standard?? Will side curtain bags also be standard??

Cheers.

has been rather soon thought that is for sure. i've read in AMC magazine a few months ago that the xt was supposed to be getting alloys from the start, but got canned last minute by the big wigs or something. Looks as though theyve changed their minds.

About time too. The XT just keeps getting better and better, that's great value for the 'Povo pack' model, but is probably more of a response to the VE Omega having 16" alloys for the same price.

I was only joking when I said I'd miss those hubcaps... but looking at the link below, I hope they look better in the flesh/metal.

The dark coloured car has VE holden looking wheels.

If they are going to modify the FG, they should flare the rear guards to balance with the front and the nose should be made a little more savage.

Woo Hoo!

If they make Dual Zone Climate Controlled A/C a stand alone option on XR6 Turbos (rather than have it as part of the luxury enhancement pack) and give me a locking fuel cap and I’ll buy one.

The alloys are much improved over the hubcaps.

Good work Ford, Should have been there from the start, but it's still good work. It's now looking more and more like the FG XT is more the successor to the BFII Futura rather than BFII XT

That's half the battle. Judge the car on the worst looking model. Stick alloys on the pov packs and you're in with a shot.

Rather than buying the XR6 T for what it is ..... a DAMN great car, proberbly the best car made in Aust, especially for the money ....... Not having a locking fuel cap would be the reason I wouldn't buy one either :

I rekon those alloys look good for a pov pack .... big improvment. Well done Ford!

They still sell the HUBCAPS!!!

..but on the wagon. I know most don't care but wagons are not just for fleet, so this is a little bit of a let down.
