Total: 130,542 (domestic 80,110, export 50,432)

Heard Kluger is gonna be build in Oz soon. Wonder whether it will affect Territory sales...

Interesting to see that Ford's local production is almost as high as Holden even though Falcon is having it's worst performance since the 1960s. The close figure is due to the success of the Territory.

Prob wont as people dont really care where the cars built or they have a perception where the cars built.

Very impressive results by Toyota but also quite scary.

It's amazing how far a good reputation can go.

I am still amazed that people buy a Camry over a Mazda 6 and a Corolla over a Mazda 3.

Ford is still in the game though it's the profits that matter not the sales figure.

I think the Territory pulls a healthy profit as they have a lot of private buyers and a lot of Ghias sold.

I think 70% of Falcon sales are fleet where no money is made it would be better if Ford sold less cars at more of a profit.

Look at BMW they make 10+ grand profit per vehicle on something that is realistically not much better than a Opel and look how many billions of dollars the tiny Porsche factory makes!

Well for all the Toyota knockers, they export figures are good. Export means a future for Aussie makers and it also helps our trade deficit which is utterly woeful

Far enough, i agree that Mazda 6 is better than Camry, but if Sayid or Abdul in Saudi Arabia wants an Aussie Camry well thats good. Besides Abdul and Sayid probably thinks its built in Japan.

Hope Toyota sell shed loads of Camry's o'seas, gotta say i hate seeing them here, but id rather see Camry's on the road than say a Kia Magentis or whatever they call em

A bit like Fosters beer eh - "the beer sold all round the world" (because no Australian will touch it)!

The Kluger local manufacture news is old news from before the release of the Territory. The Territory went on to slaughter its sales so the idea was dropped. I can't see the new Kluger making a better impression unless they copy the Territory's design features.

Exports are good for local jobs admittedly but the profits still go back to Japan and US.

Re Kluger, it's not being built in Australia. Expect to see it around August/September and expect it to be like Camry and Aurion offering a very good spec at a very competitive price.
