Pat you can do it yourself mate, the paint won't crack if you do it carefully. Just take the wheel off and use a small hammer to tap all the way around the lip, just keep going over it so it bends back a bit at a time. I did it on the EA and it worked fine.

I got mine done by a 'Low Down Guard Rolling'. I went to his house and he did a sweet job. $100 for fronts drive away...

My mate did this on his VK (typical!) and it warped really bad.....

if heard of people using a piece of wood between the tyre and guard and slowly driving forward while someone holds it... sounds dodgy though...

mine was done for $45 a corner, so $90 all up by the suspension centre in sunshine.
paints cracked a little, but u can't see it unless u go and look under the guard.

I had the same prob as TonkoXR8s mate. Cutting slits at intervals on lip will cause severe warpage to the arch on the outside. Not a good look at all. Any decent tyre place will have a proper guard roller and as EFFalcon said, its only $45 per guard. Much cheaper than a new guard + painting.

+1 for rubber mallet and a block of dense wood. No paint chipping, looks good.

These days I'd probably just go backyard styles.
