Club rego requirements

Hi I bought a midlife crisis car from the dark side
its an 86 Corvette its got six months normal rego
but want to put it on club rego when it runs out
here in Queensland the rule is 30 years
now the question is this as I cant find a compliance plate
but can decipher the vin as a 1986 does anyone know
if I can just get it signed off as an 86 model or do I need
the day and month of manufacture to register it just
to make sure its not 29 and a half years old
