amazingly, it has been just 3 short years ago that Mike Moran ran the first ever 5-second pass by any turbo car. since then the turbo guys have slowly been chipping away at the times.

some amazing times were run by Melanie Troxel (R2B2/ProLine Corvette) and Brad Personett (Camaro) @ last weeks NHRA event at Englishtown. the ET and Top Speed records were reset, both ran a 5.772 @ over 258mph

what makes Melanie's pass an even bigger achievement is it was done with an automatic gearbox, the car runs a Rossler 3-speed TH210XHD which is the choice of alot of the big HP turbo cars. she backed the 5.77 up with 2 5.80 passes also.

2 years ago there was only 1 turbo car racing in Pro Mod, there is currently 6 or 7 cars racing now, by the end of this year there may be 10 turbo cars.
