Reminds me of all the idiots on the commodore cruise who done burnouts on the stretch of road where peter brock crashed. I would consider it more disrespectful than anything.

Not too long ago, the story of some Werribee scum gang raping an intellectually disabled girl, filming it, and selling it off for $5 a copy, and then were basically let off by the courts scot free, gives an idea of just what kind of scum are born and raised in that sewerage dump of a society.

i was at this accident, actually thought the car was a sedan, not a wagon. not a nice thing to see.

i have seen worse in my line of work. but although this did happen in werribee, and the friends were what YOU would call 'scum" they are still humans. they lost a friend/friends. The girl was from Warnambool. what if these kids were from your town and it happened in werribee, does that still make it a "hole"?

dont get me wrong, i dont agree with what the friends were doing one little bit, but dont go laying blame on the town champ. blame it on the stupid driver. 2 innocent lives lost. oh wait, it was WERRIBEE that done it! werribee and all its ferals.

grow up and look at the big picture, WERRIBEE didnt kill these kids, nor the road, nor the kids in the back seat, it was the driver that was doing 180kms in a car that was not even road worthy.

Yeah, I have to say I agree with Danny on this one. I lived there until I was 7, moved away to Lara but still went to school in Werribee until I finished VCE. Socialised there until I was about 24 because my mates were there. All but one of them escaped the place shortly after.

It's a stinking shithole of a place without any redeeming features whatsoever. If I haven't been there in the course of a year, then its been a good year.

The best thing about Werribee is watching it get smaller in your rearview mirror.

Need I reiterate; I said that Werribee had a "very high concentration of the worst of bogan stereotypes", specifically making the point that not all Wezza residents are like this.

And by the way the kids in Wu Tang jackets and Rapper caps DO swarm the Macky D's, Hungry Jack's, and the Pokies on pension day.. the cars really ARE all covered in the reddest of red dirt, and the graceful elephant princess in the Excel I actually saw with my own two eyes. Her name's Sha'Neequa, and beware, she could be carrying your child....

After reading that article...I'm gobsmacked...and whilst I don't know (nor do I really want to know) the graphic details of the why's and wherefores of this accident, and I can understand that kids want to pay tribute to their friends, etc, etc, I just can't see this as being the 'right' way to do it...it makes me sad as hell to see that regardless of what caused this accident, these kids haven't learnt...

i dont think that's entirely fair mate. Its a certain type/group of young adults. I'm 19, an absolute car nut, reasonably popular. I have never ever intentionally done a burnout on a tarmac road (done a couple tiny ones in the wet accidentally) i have never specifically gone out to do a burnout. Everytime i have been a **** in my car it has been a dirt road, in the middle of nowhere with no one else in the car, no other cars around and i have just stopped and had a little fun while i was passing through.
I'm not saying what i do is right, however in term's of you saying all 18 year olds go out and specifically go out to hoon, i think you need to be less general in your approach. I, nor do any of my friends have that type of mentality, even more so when there are other people around. It's a select few, and even fewer get it wrong.
