It appears that Ford themselves don't know so hoping somebody here may be able to help. Thanks in advance |

Prior to this Burnie Ford had a dealer code of 36080 from 2004-2008 and prior 3602 from 1965 to 2004. When ever this a change in ownership the dealer gets a new code, even though it may be the same site, same name etc... What era car are you looking for? |

if its postcode? that's Caulfield South VIC - there is no Ford Dealer.
3166 would be Chadstone

Hmm, another one. I posted a thread a while back without success.
It appears that there are a few unknown dealer codes out there. Sorry I can't help and please remove post if deemed too hijacky, but I was after dealer # 2305 - Retail Dealer Unlisted.. Ed

GTLegend, wow thanks heaps for your help, now I have somewhere to start looking for a bit more of the history of my ute. I've owned it since 2004, so only 24 more years of history to trace..

I think Ford struggled for a dealership in the area. 1986 President Ford began trading, Nepean Hwy Elsternwick 3185.
It was part of the Reg Hunt Motor Group and the slogan was Reg Hunt Golden Mile of Cars. So you had a shared site with Ford at one end and Holden the other separated by a small side street. This was probably the second biggest dealer coup by Broadmeadows after Stillwell Holden then the biggest Holden Dealer in Melbourne changed to Ford in 1966. This was posted in a Facebook reply to re Ford Dealer Codes.
Denis, five digit codes were for Dealers that had satellite sites. For instance 24560 would be the main sight. 24561 would be the satellite. Ford would class the Whole dealership though as 2456. |
