My concern is that engines and power trains in newer vehicles are really made down to prices
And now don’t last like previous generations.

Woe begets someone looking to keep something like a Ranger for more than 8 to 10 years if they get stuck with premature engine or transmission failure. Maybe that’s why so many late models end up in wreckers for parts, one good smash or failure and not worth repairing?
