We've just got one to replace dead electric element type. Had bought a cheap little single induction plug in unit through covid when family members isolated, so learned how to use. They're pretty good if you have no pacemaker. It seems the copper wiring needs a slight upgrade, bigger, at ours to fit the new whole cooktop, but overall you use less energy - maybe as it cooks quicker??
