Jacking up a TE Cortina to do front brake pads, used a hydraulic jack with about the diameter of a 10 cent piece. Missed the jacking point, almost had the car up when the shaft of the jack disappeared into the door sill with a heck of a bang...filled the hole up with putty & covered it with duct tape to get it through rego for the next year or two.
