Ok, fireman Sam, I’ll say it a bit slower.

The pin is in place to prevent accidental discharge.

The blue plastic seal is there to show that the pin hasn’t been removed and put back in, therefore it is a seal.

The primary function of the plastic seal is to show the person who’s about to use it that it “should” work. The secondary function for the seal is to prevent the pin vibrating loose on these cheap arsed things.

The gauge is there to let you know if the extinguisher has been discharged, not the seal.
Thank you kindly for the information, however, I, like many professional fire-fighters don’t trust gauges and if the plastic seal is missing, to me, they are used.

How many extinguishers have you pulled the pin on and nothing’s happened even though it says that it’s charged?
